Dalton was founded in 2019 by three biochemists who wanted research peptides documented the way reference standards always should have been — with a sequence, a chromatogram, a lot number, and a name on the release record.

01 · Synthesis

We make it. We don't relabel it.

Every compound listed is built on our own solid-phase synthesizers and purified by preparative HPLC. No brokered material, no white-label repackaging.

02 · Verification

Identity confirmed, not assumed.

Each lot is fingerprinted by ESI-MS before it leaves the bench. Observed mass, calculated mass, purity figure, and lot ID are recorded on the certificate of analysis.

03 · Custody

Cold-chain, end-to-end.

Overnight from Phoenix on dry ice for liquids, gel packs for lyophilized vials. Chain of custody documented from freezer to courier to door.

03 / Lab process

Bench to freezer
in four steps.

From dry resin to released lot. Every step is logged in our electronic lab notebook against the lot number printed on the vial cap.

Solid-phase synthesis

Fmoc chemistry on rink-amide or Wang resin. Coupling cycles tracked in real time; failed cycles trigger a re-coupling rather than a batch carry-forward.

Preparative HPLC purification

Reverse-phase C18 against a water/acetonitrile gradient with 0.1% TFA. Fractions pooled by analytical HPLC before lyophilization.

Mass-spec identity verification

Positive-mode ESI-MS. Observed and calculated monoisotopic masses recorded; deviation greater than 0.5 Da fails the lot.

Release & cold storage

Endotoxin clearance via recombinant Factor C, COA signed, vial stored at −20 °C until dispatch. Cold-chain log starts at the freezer door.
